Discovering
Tuscany

A walk through the beauties of an enchanted region

Why not take a few days to discover the artistic cities of Tuscany and the small villages on the hills?

Many destinations can be reached by train from Castiglioncello station, a stone’s throw from the Hotel Miramare: Florence, whose main attractions settle within a short distance from Santa Maria Novella station; or Pisa, where Viale Italia, just outside the central station, leads to Piazza dei Miracoli and the city museums.

In half an hour by bus you arrive in Livorno, with its particular Venice district, taking into account, on the way back, a stop for a panoramic aperitif in Calafuria.

Going to Piombino you can embark for the Elba Island (about 45 minutes driving + 40 minutes by ferry), a jewel of the Tuscan archipelago dotted with dream beaches.

But other must-see destinations await you. Bolgheri, a small postcard village told by Carducci’s verses; Populonia, where the Etruscan presence seems never to have died out around the banks of the Gulf of Baratti.

This and much more awaits you: at the reception we will provide all the necessary suggestions to make you fall in love with our beautiful area.

Un tuffo nel passato per arricchire il presente

Beautiful Florence

Florence is the capital of Tuscany. The city is home to some of the greatest masterpieces of art and architecture from the Renaissance period. One of the most suggestive places to include in your visit to Florence is the Duomo, the cathedral with a tiled dome designed by Brunelleschi and Giotto’s bell tower. Michelangelo’s David sculpture is exhibited at the Accademia Gallery while in the Uffizi Gallery you will find works of art that will leave you breathless: among these, Botticelli‘s “Birth of Venus” and Leonardo‘s “Annunciation” by Vinci.
