The Hotel Miramare: a love and hospitality story that lasts since 1912
In 1912 Romolo Monti arrived from Carpi to Castiglioncello with a dream: to create a hotel, out of the ordinary, that would fascinate and bring people to admire the sea that had captured him.
Many personalities from politics and aristocracy, art and culture alternated during the 1920s and 1930s. In the 60s and 70s many names from the world of cinema habitually stayed at Hotel Miramare. In the same period, Castiglioncello was chosen by the director Dino Risi as the set for the famous film “Il Sorpasso”.
And the story continues, year after year, with the same passion and love for hospitality.
